Hi, My Name is Mikhi Kelly.



I’m based in Columbia, MD & travel around the DMV area. I’ve been a freelance photographer for 6 years; beginning my professional journey during the pandemic. Upon graduating high school, I went on to pursue a business management degree at Howard Community College, later transferring to University of Maryland, College Park Robert H. Smith School of Business.

My introduction (kinda) into photography was on my iPhone X taking sunset, nature photos and the occasional fit pics for my friends. I would edit them using free apps on my phone, eventually posting them to Instagram... or being hassled by the same, now eager, friends to 'send da flicks.' Soon, I'd find myself in film & digital photography classes at Oakland Mills High School. My mentor was early to notice I had an eye for it & gifted me my first DSLR camera as a graduation present that I still use today.

As I continue to embark on my journey, maturing in my artistic aesthetic & style is important to me. I thought having the best gear, the right settings, or the 'perfect' conditions created timeless photos. While those matter, it's the lasting emotions you feel when looking at photos that are intentional & authentic. The creative process is what captivates me the most & I hope my work reflects exactly that.
